Tyris D. Jones a native of Laurinburg, NC was groomed at an early age for the World of Storytelling. He was that one child who always ended up on the porch listening to the grown ups carry tales of the neighborhood  while his cousins played in yard. Tyris made is debut as a teller in 2008, being named Bold-Faced Liar of the Southeast. Since then, he was noticed to shared at The Exchange Place at the National Storytelling Festival. He's shared his gift throughout the U. S. as well performing as an actor with community productions with The Encore! Theatre, Inc. in his hometown, the latest role he brought was "Hoke" in "Driving Miss Daisy". Tyris will be apart of the Roadhouse Storytellers which will be held in January of 2019 in Pittsboro, NC.
